Este artículo está centrado en el desarrollo de la variable temporal con la finalidad de indagar sobre la función del tiempo en psicoanálisis y en la institución partiendo de situar la concepción del tiempo en Occidente. El objetivo principal es interrogar la articulación entre el tiempo de tratamiento institucional y la eficacia que en dicho plazo puede obtenerse cuando quien conduce el tratamiento es un practicante del psicoanálisis.
