En la actualidad la religiosidad y la espiritualidad han concentrado los esfuerzos de un conjunto considerable de investigadores que han procurado explorar éste fenómeno en relación a diversas áreas de interés para la psicología. Aunque inicialmente ambas nociones fueran utilizadas indistintamente, actualmente existen corrientes que las plantean como categorías independientes, presentándolas tanto en términos de opuestos como complementarios. Por otra parte, ciertos aspectos de la religiosidad se han asociado históricamente a fenómenos como el autoritarismo en términos de pensamiento dogmático. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es describir las autocategorizaciones entre religiosos y espirituales para observar si el autoritarismo se encuentra asociado o diferenciado de ciertos aspectos relativos a la religiosidad y la espiritualidad. La muestra fue de tipo intencional, no probabilística. y participaron en el estudio 359 estudiantes universitarios. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de un instrumento de evaluación de índole autoadministrable compuesto por una escala de autoidentificación Religioso - Espiritual, la Escala de autoritarismo de derechas (RWA) y Variables socio-demográficas. Se observa que la muestra, en su gran mayoría 97% se identifica a sí mismos como espirituales o religiosos. Although initially both concepts were used interchangeably, there are currently streams that arise as separate categories and presents them in terms of opposites as complementary. Moreover, certain aspects of religiosity have been historically associated with such phenomena as authoritarianism in terms of dogmatic thinking. The main objective of this paper is to describe the autocategorizaciones between religious and spiritual to see if authoritarianism is associated or differentiated from certain aspects of religiosity and spirituality. The sample was intentional, not random. and participated in the study 359 college students. Data were collected through an assessment instrument consisting of a self-administered nature of selfidentification scale Religious - Spiritual, right-wing authoritarianism scale (RWA) and socio-demographic variables.
