Este trabajo tiene como propósito indagar cuáles son los fundamentos de la investigación en el psicoanálisis. Estos pueden formularse en base a tres interrogantes: ¿qué se investiga en psicoanálisis? ¿cómo? y ¿por qué? Si se toma las aspiraciones científicas de Freud como el punto fundacional de su práctica, éstas emergen bajo la égida de una técnica particular. La misma se orienta a la posibilidad de acceder a la realidad del inconsciente como articulador del padecer sintomático. Esta técnica no puede ni debe pensarse desprendida del horizonte ético en el que se enmarca, en la medida que orienta no sólo la dirección de la cura sino la posición misma del analista. These can be formulated based on three questions: What is research in psychoanalysis? How? and why? Taking Freud’s scientific aspirations as the foundational point of their practice, they emerge under the aegis of a particular technique. It is focused on the possibility of accessing the reality of the unconscious as the articulator of developing symptomatic. This technique can not be thought detached from the ethical horizon in which it is part, to the extent that guides not only the direction of the treatment itself but the position of the analyst.
