Ante el alto índice de desgranamiento en el primer año del cursado universitario, el Proyecto de investigación “Aspectos facilitadores y obstaculizadores en la inserción del estudiante universitario de la UNT (26-K-412. C.I.U.NT. 2008 - 2012) realizó exploraciones en alumnos ingresantes (2009 y 2010) de segundo y tercer año (2011) a fin de indagar sobre las dificultades de inserción y permanencia en el ámbito académico y los mecanismos subjetivos que operan como reforzadores y protectores, y les permiten continuar el recorrido académico. Con los ingresantes se utilizaron encuestas anónimas autoadministrables; con los de segundo y tercero (en adelante “regulares”) entrevistas focalizadas y dinámicas de grupos focales. Se trabajó con las trece unidades académicas de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. En esta ponencia se presentan los resultados obtenidos con alumnos “regulares” 2011 de la Facultad de Artes acerca de los elementos facilitadores del tránsito académico. En esta muestra se destaca una autoimagen actual positivizada, las seguridades vocacionales y las actividades que presenta la carrera fueron sin duda los elementos que incidieron positivamente en la permanencia, en el área emocional, la mayoría coincide que la institución y su dinámica los ha contenido; aunque perdura un temor marcado acerca de la futura inserción laboral.
