A partir de un marco teórico psicoanalítico, nos proponemos en este trabajo enunciar la tensión intrínseca entre el imperativo liberal y la ruptura del lazo social que pone en riesgo la propia subjetividad, a partir de una perspectiva clínica y desde un recorrido bibliográfico por diversos autores dentro de este campo, con los aportes de la Filosofía, Sociología y Antropología contemporáneas. El individualismo extremo y sus efectos albergan pedagogías, ejercicios y manifestaciones de crueldad, poniendo de manifiesto dicha ruptura. Es imprescindible recurrir a la ternura en tanto necesaria y posibilitadora para contrarrestar los efectos de la crueldad. La ternura se presenta no solo como un acto de resistencia, sino también como una fuerza transformadora que puede sanar las fracturas en el lazo social, fomentando la empatía, la solidaridad y el reconocimiento del otro. Si el Psicoanálisis nos invita a pensar que algo es posible, será únicamente en la práctica de una clínica orientada en las coordenadas de la época; repensar la transferencia y el lugar del analista en este contexto atravesado por la crueldad será un modo de visibilizar también el alcance ético-político de nuestro oficio. Palabras clave Crueldad - Individualismo - Ternura - Transferencia ABSTRACT TENDERNESS IN THE TIMES OF CRUELTY: A PSYCHOANALYTIC REFLECTION Starting from a psychoanalytic theoretical framework, we propose in this work to state the intrinsic tension between the liberal imperative and the rupture of the social bond that puts one’s own subjectivity at risk, from a clinical perspective and from a bibliographical review by various authors within of this field, with the contributions of contemporary Philosophy, Sociology and Anthropology. Extreme individualism and its effects harbor pedagogies, exercises and manifestations of cruelty, highlighting this rupture. It is essential to resort to tenderness as necessary and enabling to counteract the effects of cruelty. Tenderness is presented not only as an act of resistance, but also as a transformative force that can heal fractures in the social bond, fostering empathy, solidarity and recognition of the other. If Psychoanalysis invites us to think that something is possible, it will only be in the practice of a clinic oriented in the coordinates of the time; Rethinking the transference and the place of the analyst in this context crossed by cruelty will be a way to also make visible the ethical-political scope of our profession.
