Este trabajo se realiza en el marco del proyecto “El consentimiento informado en investigaciones psicológicas con niños. Consideraciones ético-normativas”. Considerando que la investigación con niños se ha visto notablemente incrementada desde la Convención Internacional sobre los derechos del niño y su Observación No 12, es importante analizar la especificidad del consentimiento informado en este campo. Teniendo en cuenta que el mismo tiene como propósito resguardar al investigador de posibles demandas y respetar el derecho de la autonomía del sujeto involucrado, informarle sobre el estudio y comunicar sobre posibles riesgos y/o beneficios, nos proponemos aquí realizar una búsqueda bibliográfica relativa a la especificidad que adopta el consentimiento informado en la investigación con niños en general, y en la investigación psicológica con niños en particular. Específicamente, la revisión bibliográfica se centrará en las características que la información plasmada en el consentimiento informado deberá poseer en función de las singularidades de los sujetos.Apuntaremos a indagar aspectos tales como qué contenidos debieran estar presentes y de qué manera debieran ser transmitidos al sujeto para que dé su consentimiento informado, en qué momento del proceso debiera hacerse, qué modalidad será más conveniente y cómo asegurarse que la información ha sido comprendida. Palabras clave Consentimiento informado, Investigación psicológica, Niños ABSTRACT CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT INFORMED CONSENT IN PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH WITH CHILDREN This article is part of the project “Informed Consent in psychological research with children: ethical and regulatory considerations”. Considering that research including children has been notoriously increased since the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its General Comment No 12, it has become important to analyze the specificity of informed consent in that area. Taking into consideration that it´s purpose is to protect researchers from possible lawsuit and respect the right to autonomy of the subject involved, to inform him/her about the study and communicate possible risks and/or benefits, the purpose of this article is to perform a bibliographical search regarding the specificity of informed consent in children research in general, and in children psychological research in particular. Specifically, the bibliographical review will be centered in the characteristics that the information expressed in the informed consent should have according to the subjects. We will aim to examine aspects such as what items should be present and in which way they should be transmitted to subjects, the moment in the process where it should be done, the most convenient way of doing it and how to be sure that the information has been understood.
