El presente trabajo se propone analizar la cuestión de la transexualidad en tanto expresión de la diversidad sexual que posee actualmente una gran visibilidad gracias a la ampliación de derechos. La línea de trabajo que tomaremos refiere a la dimensión singular de este campo, a partir de la indagación del personaje de Lilli Elbe, protagonista del film “The Danish Girl” (Hooper, 2015). En tanto narrativa cinematográfica inspirada en el caso real de la primera mujer en la historia en realizar una cirugía de cambio de sexo, esta obra nos permite avanzar sobre algunos aspectos para pensar la cuestión de la incidencia de los discursos médico, social y jurídico respecto de las diversas identidades sexuales, así como en las coordenadas subjetivas de un caso de transexualismo. Si bien para la conquista y protección de derechos civiles y políticos ha sido y aún es necesaria la presencia, acción y militancia del llamado “colectivo trans” (travestis, transexuales y transgéneros), se trata -desde el campo de la subjetividad- de poder situar las coordenadas propias de un caso, ya que todo universal desconoce la singularidad en juego para cada sujeto. Palabras clave Transexualidad, Singularidad, Cine, Ética ABSTRACT TRANSSEXUALITY AND SINGULARITY THROUGH THE CINEMA: A STUDY ABOUT THE DANISH GIRL This paper proposes to analyze the question of transsexuality, which we consider an expression of the sexual diversity that has nowadays a great visibility because of the conquer and extension of human rights. The line of investigation that we will take refers to the singular dimension of this field, taking the analysis of “Lili Elbe”, the main character of the film “The Danish Girl” (Hooper, 2015). This cinematographic narrative is inspired by the real case of the first woman in history to have a surgery of change of sex and it will allow us to think the influence of the medicine, the social and juridical discourse upon the diverse sexual identities, as well as on the subjective aspects of a case of a transsexual. Though it is true that for the purpose of the conquest and the protection of civil and political rights it is necessary the existence and the activism of the so called “trans group” (transvestism, transsexual and transgender people), from the psychological perspective we want to establish the singularity of a case.
