El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación documental, es analizar y comparar seis Trabajos de investigación, obtenidos de la búsqueda a partir de las palabras claves: Epilepsia y aprendizaje. Dichos trabajos realizados entre los años 2001-2013.Tres de ellos publicados en la Revista de Investigación Neurológica, uno en la Revista Árete, otro obtenido de la Revista de Medicina de Bogotá y el último trabajo de investigación divulgado en la Revista de Neurología Argentina. Se compararán, a partir de los siguientes ejes: definición, etiología, tipos de crisis epilépticas, habilidades cognitivas afectadas, y conclusiones de la relación epilepsia-dificultades en el aprendizaje. Se tomará como marco teórico a la Neuropsicología. Se arribó a la conclusión de que las dificultades en el aprendizaje no son sólo consecuencia de la Epilepsia sino del resultado de múltiples factores asociados, tales como el tipo de Epilepsia, la etiología, la edad de inicio, el tipo de crisis epilépticas, la frecuencia, el tratamiento con fármacos antiepilépticos y otros factores sociales y afectivos. Palabras clave Epilepsia, Aprendizaje ABSTRACT CONNECTION BETWEEN EPILEPSY AND DIFFICULTIES IN THE LEARNING The aim of the present work of documentary investigation, it is to analyze and to compare six Works of investigation, obtained of the search from the key words: Epilepsy and learning. The above mentioned works realized between the years 2001-2013. Three of them published in the Magazine of Neurological Investigation, one in the Magazine Plough You, other one obtained of the Magazine of Medicine of Bogota and the last work of investigation spread in the Magazine of Neurology Argentina. They will be compared, from the following axes: definition, etiology, types of epileptic attacks, cognitive affected skills, and conclusions of the relation epilepsy - difficulty of learning. It will take as a theoretical frame to the Neuropsychology. One arrived at the conclusion of which the difficulties of learning are not only a consequence of the Epilepsy but of the result of multiple associate, such factors as the type of Epilepsy, the etiology, the age of beginning, the type of epileptic attacks, the frequency, the treatment with anti-epileptic medicaments and other social and affective factors.
