Este trabajo se propone analizar la influencia del naturalismo en la narrativa de la Argentina de principios del siglo XX, la cual se nutre de una Buenos Aires en pleno crecimiento. Entre los años 1900-1916, el contexto social de la época sirve de base para que los autores comiencen a plasmar en sus obras los distintos problemas que surgen, con la llegada de los inmigrantes europeos. Los mismos, arribaban buscando una mejor calidad de vida, pero se encontraban con diferentes obstáculos para insertarse en el ámbito laboral. Estos impedimentos comenzaron a ser un problema en esa época, tal es así, que el Estado impulsó diferentes mecanismos de control para estos sujetos. Dichos dispositivos consistían en análisis de los laboratorios realizados en las Universidades. El Estado se valía de ellos para catalogar a los sujetos como sanos o patológicos y posteriormente, derivarlos a la correspondiente institución de contención (hospitales, escuelas, cárceles). La persona que comenzó a plasmar esta realidad en sus obras, fue el Dr. Francisco Sicardi, quien se desempeñó como médico en diferentes hospitales. A través de su profesión, el Dr. Sicardi se nutrió para poder desarrollar luego, a partir de su experiencia en esta problemática, su obra literaria. Palabras clave Naturalismo, Método clínico-criminológico, Herencia, Inmigrante ABSTRACT INFLUENCE OF THE NATURALISM IN FRANCISCO SICARDI´S WORK This work proposes to analyze the influence of the naturalism in the narrative of the Argentina of beginning of the 20th century, which nourishes of one Buenos Aires in full growth. Between 1900-1916, the social context of the epoch served as base for authors to begin to capture in their works the different problems that arised with the arrival of the European immigrants. They were looking for a better quality of life, but they found different obstacles while entering the workplace.These impediments began to be a problem in this epoch, such it is like that, that the State stimulated different mechanisms of control for these subjects. The above mentioned devices were consisting of analysis of the laboratories realized in the Universities. The State was using of them to catalogue to the subjects as healthily or pathologically and later, they to be derived to the correspondent by institution of containment (hospitals, schools, jails).Who began to form this reality in his works, was Francisco Sicardi, who served as a doctor in different institutions.
