El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados obtenidos en un estudio realizado sobre los diferentes Estilos de Apego y su posible relación con síntomas psicopatológicos en adolescentes escolarizados, residentes en la ciudad de Buenos Aires (N=230). Se utilizó el Inventario de Apego con padres (IPPA, Armsden y Greenberg, 1987) y el listado de síntomas SCL-90-R (Derogatis, 1994) para evaluar síntomas psicopatológicos. Los resultados indican que existen diferencias estadísticamente significativas según la variable sociodemográfica sexo, a favor de los varones de la muestra. No se encontraron diferencias significativas según la variable sociodemográfica edad. Se encontraron asociaciones positivas, estadísticamente significativas, entre el Estilo de Apego Ansioso y Sensitividad Interpersonal, Depresión y Ansiedad. El Estilo de Apego Evitativo se asoció significativamente con Psicoticismo, Depresión y Sensitividad Interpersonal. Ambos estilos correlacionaron significativamente con la mayor presencia de síntomas psicopatológicos. Las asociaciones fueron negativas entre el Estilo de Apego seguro y cada uno de los síntomas psicopatológicos evaluados. The results indicate that statistically significant differences exist according to the variable sex, in favor of the men of the sample. Significant differences were not according to the variable age. Were positive associations, statistically significant, between the Style of Attachment Anxiety and Depression and Anxiety. The Style of Avoid Attachment was associated significantly with Psychoticism and Depression. Both styles correlated significantly with the greater presence of psychopathology symptoms. The associations were negative between the Style of safe Attachment and each one of the evaluated psicopathologic symptoms. Key words Attachment Psychopathologic symptoms Adolescents
