El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las elecciones universitarias y legislativas en la población estudiantil de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Principalmente, remitiéndonos al estudio de posibles parámetros comunes que pudieran regir en ambas. Para ello hemos considerado a las dos agrupaciones más votadas en las elecciones de 2005 para Centro de Estudiantes. Y hemos focalizado sobre: las razones por las que votaron en las elecciones de Centro de Estudiantes y a quién votaron en las elecciones legislativas de 2005. Los resultados de los cruces mencionados anteriormente muestran que hay una diferencia importante (20%) entre la cantidad de votantes que recibió la primera agrupación EPA! y la segunda agrupación EDeA. Sin embargo, al analizar la pregunta "¿por quién votó en la última elección legislativa?" no se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los votantes de cada una de estas dos agrupaciones. Es decir, que en nuestro trabajo pudimos observar una polarización cuantitativa pero no así cualitativa. Este fenómeno fue atribuido a la falta de interés por debatir ideas y diferentes propuestas, abordándolo desde el concepto de Expectativa Paternalista de Estado. Este trabajo es un primer acercamiento a dicha temática por lo que consideramos esta investigación exploratoria. Palabras clave Estudiantes Elecciones Paternalismo Psicologia ABSTRACT THE RESEARCH ON PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITY OF BUENOS AIRES´S ELECTORAL PARAMETERS In this paper authors analyze both the students’ university and legislative elections at the School of Psychology, UBA. We analyze chiefly the possible similar patterns that might have governed in each of them. To achieve this, we took into account two of the most voted political parties at the elections held in 2005 for the students’ union: EPA! and EDeA. We focus our analysis on the reasons why the students voted on the students’ union elections and who they voted for at the legislative elections in 2005. The results show a significant difference (of the 20%) between the amount of votes that EPA! received and the amount of votes EDeA received. But when we analyze the question "Who did you vote for at the last legislative elections?", no major differences were found among the voters for each of these political parties. In our paper, we observed there was a quantitative but not a qualitative polarization. These events were understood as the results of lack of interest on debating ideas and different proposals, explaining these matters with the concept of paternalistic expectation of State. This is the first approach to the topic, so we consider this to be an exploratory research. Key words Students Elections Paternalistism Psychology
