El presente trabajo se enmarca dentro del proyecto de investigación UBACyT 2004-2007 La práctica del psicólogo forense con menores judicializados por violencia familiar en el marco de la ley 24.417. Determinantes Institucionales. Tiene como finalidad diferenciar los conceptos de violencia, agresividad y agresión, que habitualmente son tomados como sinónimos, cuando en realidad no lo son. A partir del rastreo bibliográfico, tanto de las legislaciones vigentes como de los desarrollos de Berkowitz, Freud y Winnicott, se ha encontrado que si bien existen numerosos trabajos acerca del tema, en la mayoría de ellos no se puede visualizar claramente qué es lo que entiende cada autor por estos términos. De ese modo se facilita el uso indiscriminado de tales conceptos. Se considera que tal diferenciación sería fundamental en el abordaje de la problemática de la violencia, específicamente de la violencia familiar.
