En este trabajo, los autores describen la combinación de psicoterapia cognitiva y yoga en el contexto de los tratamientos psicoterapéuticos de orientación cognitiva en la Capital Federal. En esta investigación, llevan a cabo un intento de explicitar los motivos que hacen a esta complementariedad, proponiendo que la misma es parte intrínseca de las psicoterapias de orientación cognitiva, debido al uso habitual de las técnicas de relajación. Palabras clave Medicinas no convencionales Cáncer ABSTRACT CONCERNING OF THE OPTION BY NON CONVENTIONAL MEDICINES IN ONCOLOGIC PATIENTS The non conventional medicines are systems and practices, medical products of the attention of health that it’s not consider by conventional medicine. The objective of this study is to identify witch of the non conventional medicines are used by cancer patients, of Buenos Aires city. The unit of analyzes is a sample of 100 patients. The methods used were semi-structured and open interviews. These medicines were classified with a mold constructed according to the protocols of National Center for complementary and alternative medicine (United States), the WHO and the contributions of medical anthropology. The medicines summarized were_ 1-Complementary: Hansi, Crotoxina, Yoga, Reiki, Masage, Cromotherapy, Acupuncture; 2- Alternatives: Anthroposophy, New Medicine; Macrobiotic Diet; 3- Homemade: Herbs, Grubs and other products; 4Tradicional. 5- Religious. The preliminary results denote a high prevalence of the utilization of non conventional medicines for oncology patients. Key words Non conventional therapies Cancer
