El presente artículo llama la atención sobre las intersecciones entre la interpretación heideggeriana de la Parusía en las epístolas de San Pablo y la suplencia del Nombre del Padre que Lacan sitúa en la literatura de Joyce; i.e., la venida del Hijo-Mesías y la prescindencia del Dios-Padre. Por un lado, se abordará la lectura que Heidegger realiza de la experiencia del tiempo en el cristianismo primitivo, a partir de su lectura de San Pablo: la experiencia de vida fáctica de la Parusía como evento kairológico situado entre el tiempo del haber llegado a ser y el tiempo del aún no. Por otro lado, nos centraremos en la experiencia de nominación del artista y lo singular, según la lectura que Lacan realiza de la obra joyceana: siendo que el complejo de Edipo es un síntoma que se organiza en torno al Nombre del Padre, y que el arte de Joyce sostiene la subsistencia del padre, su obra prueba que se puede prescindir de él a condición de servirse de él. Ambos casos muestran cómo la referencia a términos religiosos constituye el basamento para la creación de nuevas elaboraciones dentro del pensamiento contemporáneo. Palabras clave Tiempo de la Parousía, Prescindencia del nombre del padre, Hei- degger, Lacan ABSTRACT VARIATIONS AROUND THE QUESTION OF THE FATHER AND THE SON:THE APPARITION OF THE SON AND THE DISPENSATION OF THE FATHER The aim of this article is to draw the attention to an intellectual intersection between Heidegger’s interpretation of the Parousia in the epistles of Paul and Lacan’s interpretation of the supplement of the Name-of-the-Father in the literature of Joyce; i.e., the coming of the Messiah-Son and the dispensation of the God-Father. On the one hand, we focus on the experience of time in the primitive Christian life according to Heidegger’s readings of Saint Paul: the factical life experience of the Parousia qua kairological event located in a time frame between the having become to be and the not yet. On the other hand, we focus on the experience of nomination of the artist and the concept of the singular, according to Lacan’s reading of Joyce’s works: considering that the Oedipus complex is a symptom organizing itself around the notion of the Name-of-the-Father and that Joyce´s art supports the subsistence of the father, his work proves that the Name-of-the-Father can be disregarded as long as we avail ourselves of it. In both cases, the references to religious terms constitute a broad platform for new elaborations within the contemporary thinking.
