La noción de diagnóstico en psicoanálisis plantea una diversidad de interrogantes y en reiteradas ocasiones es puesto en tensión con el diagnóstico psiquiátrico. El diagnóstico es una construcción, es decir, no es un observable e implica una elaboración posterior a lo acontecido en una entrevista -ya sea en una admisión o la entrevista que forma parte del dispositivo de presentación de enfermos-. Tomando esta orientación, este trabajo se propone articular la noción de diagnóstico y las presentaciones de enfermos destacando para ello dos aspectos. El primero de ellos sitúa que en el dispositivo de las presentaciones de enfermos se manifiesta con claridad que el diagnóstico se construye. Dicha construcción se produce a partir de la elaboración que tiene lugar durante la segunda instancia de la presentación, en el momento de la discusión o comentario. El segundo aspecto destaca que el dispositivo de la presentación de enfermos es un espacio fecundo para revelar la tensión que existe en el nivel del diagnóstico entre lo particular del tipo clínico y la singularidad del caso. En primer lugar se señalarán algunas consideraciones sobre el diagnóstico en psicoanálisis y luego se abordará la articulación con el dispositivo de las presentaciones de enfermos. Palabras clave Diagnóstico, Psicoanálisis, Presentación de enfermos ABSTRACT THE NOTION OF DIAGNOSIS IN PSYCHOANALYSIS IN THE LIGHT OF THE DEVICE OF PATIENTS’ PRESENTATION The notion of diagnosis in psychoanalysis raises a diversity of questions and in repeated occasions it is put in tension by the psychiatric diagnosis.The diagnosis is a construction, that is to say, it is not something observable and involves a production subsequent to what happens in an interview - either in an admission or in the interview that forms part of the device of patients’ presentation-. Following this orientation, this work proposes to articulate the notion of diagnosis and the patients’ presentations emphasizing two aspects.The first one shows that in the device of the patients’ presentations it is clearly demonstrated that the diagnosis is constructed. The above mentioned construction occurs from the production that takes place during the second instance of the presentation, in the moment of the discussion or comment. The second aspect emphasizes that the device of the patients’ presentation is a fecund space to reveal the tension that exists in the level of the diagnosis between the particularity of the clinical type and the singularity of the case. First some considerations on the diagnosis in psychoanalysis will be distinguished and then the articulation by the device of the patients’ presentations will be approached.
