Este trabajo se enmarca en el Proyecto de investigación 2014-2016 “La autoridad, su relación con el sujeto y la legitimidad,” que se desarrolla desde el Consejo de Investigaciones de la Universidad del Aconcagua (CIUDA), Mendoza. El objetivo del presente trabajo es indagar sobre aquello que sustenta a la función de autoridad y plantear la diferencia con el sometimiento. Para ello, se examina desde distintas disciplinas el significado del término autoridad y, particularmente desde el psicoanálisis, se analiza su incidencia en la constitución subjetiva. Asimismo, se profundiza en el estudio del sometimiento en relación a la autoridad y al autoritarismo. Se intenta dar cuenta de las paradojas del sometimiento: por una parte, sometimiento estructural del sujeto al lenguaje; por otra parte, sometimiento que busca completar al Otro. El psicoanálisis encuentra, en la constitución del sujeto y en el papel que la ley desempeña en ella, paradojas que son inmanentes a la estructura. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of authority,and its difference with the concept of submission. For this purpose, the meaning of authority is examined from different disciplines, and its impact on the constitution of subjectivity is analyzed from psychoanalytic theory. It also involves the study of submission in relation to authority and authoritarism. It attempts to explain the paradoxes of submission: in one hand, structural subjugation of the subject to the language; on the other hand, submissing in order to complete the Other. In the constitution of the subjectivity and the role that law plays in it, Psychoanalysis finds paradoxes that are inherent to that structure.
