Los estados alterados de conciencia han sido reveladores de grandes cambios, a nivel salud y subjetividad desde tiempos prehistóricos. El chamanismo y el arte de las culturas primitivas son algunos testimonios de esto. En el siglo pasado, la medicina clásica los ha separado de de su terreno por profanos y poco científicos pero las investigaciones con LSD (dietilamida de acido lisérgico), a partir de su sintetización en el año 1938 por parte del químico Albert Hoffman los han vuelto a poner en cuestión. Por medio de diferentes modelos de investigación: psicotomimetico, psicolitico y psiquedelico, se fue redescubriendo su potencial curativo incluso en contextos urbanos. Este último modelo, desarrollado principalmente por el psiquiatra checo Stanislav Grof fue, justamente, el que se ocupo de los estados trascendentales y su relación con la espiritualidad, siendo esta característica la posibilitadora de la sanación o de las transformaciones en el nivel de la salud. El presente trabajo es de tipo exploratorio, con un enfoque etnográfico a consumidores de LSD de la ciudad de La Plata con el fin de explorar este potencial, ya no en su contexto experimental, sino urbano. Palabras clave Salud, LSD, Espiritualidad ABSTRACT THE SACRED CARÁCTER OF HEALTH IN LSD CONSUMERS The altered state of consciousness has the possibility to make big changes in the health and in the subjectivity since prehistoric times. The shamanism and the art of primitive cultures are proof of this. In the last century, the classic medicine took this practice as profane and less scientific, but the LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) investigations, since 1938 when the chemist Albert Hoffman synthesise it, bring the question again. There were different perspectives: psychotomimetic, psycolytic and psychedelic. The last one was specially developed by the psychiatrist Stanislav Grof. He studied the transcendental experiences and the relation with the spirituality been this feature which gives to the experience the transformative potential in the health. The present research is exploratory, with an ethnographic focus on LSD consumers in La Plata, and it was made with the aim of explore this potential, now in urban contexts.
