En la presente investigación, nos detendremos en el análisis de las prácticas educativas dirigidas hacia los niños varones en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Las mismas, presentes tanto en las escuelas como en asociaciones civiles e instituciones deportivas configuraron una serie de pautas normativas respecto de ser un varón. Desde los aportes de M. Foucault, podemos plantear que, a principios del siglo XX, se llevaron a cabo estrategias de intervención disciplinaria sobre los cuerpos infantiles de los varones que redundaron en la creación de nuevas instituciones y prácticas. Los nuevos ámbitos institucionales de intervención sobre la infancia argentina, permitieron desplegar una serie de problemáticas ligadas a la constitución del patriotismo y la nacionalidad que sirvieron como una matriz para pensar los procesos educativos no sólo en la dimensión individual sino también en el ámbito poblacional. La importancia de la educación corporal en estas nuevas instituciones implicará un deslizamiento desde la esfera de la educación física a la educación moral de la raza argentina. Del mismo modo, el proyecto de instrucción sobre el sentimiento patriótico para la conformación de hombres ilustres de carácter que formen parte de las nuevas generaciones dirigentes puede leerse en clave bio-política. Palabras clave Biopolítica, Educación, Varones, Historia de la Psicología ABSTRACT THE EDUCATION OF BOYS IN THE EARLY DECADES OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. BODIES AND BIO-POLITICAL INTERVENTIONS In this research, we analyze the educational practices on boys in the early decades of the twentieth century. They are present both in schools and sports institutions and civil associations and they configured a number of patterns about being a man. Since the contributions of M. Foucault, we can argue that new fields of interventions, the disciplinary ones, were used on the infant bodies of boys which resulted in the creation of new institutions and practices.This new institutions of intervention on Argentinean children, allowed to organize a number of problems concerning the constitution of patriotism and nationality, as well as they served as a matrix for thinking educational processes not only in the individual dimension but also in the population field. The importance of physical education in these new institutions will involve a shift from the realm of the physical to the moral education of the Argentinean race. Similarly, the constitution of patriotism as an emotion that can be teach and the project to shape the character of the hombres ilustres -taking into account the conformation of a new generation of leaders- can be read in a bio-political key.
