En el presente trabajo se desarrolla una articulación entre Sigmund Freud y Émile Zola. Prescindiendo de indagaciones biográficas y de las nociones de influencia o anticipación, se intenta demostrar que es posible cernir la existencia de una homogeneidad a nivel de las “problematizaciones” que ambos autores desarrollaron. Para ello se pone de relieve que los asuntos de la familia, el sexo y la herencia fueron algunos de los tópicos centrales de las novelas de Zola. A partir de un breve análisis de Fécondité, Le Docteur Pascal y Le Rêve, se sugiere que los diagnósticos y soluciones que el novelista despliega en sus textos, constituyen una suerte de reverso de las tesis freudianas. Palabras clave Freud Zola Literatura Sexualidad ABSTRACT SIGMUND FREUD AND ÉMILE ZOLA: BETWEEN REDEMPTION AND THE SOBER FATALITY In this text we try to depict a relationship between Sigmund Freud and Émile Zola. Although we do not use a biographic research, and we leave aside notions as influence or anticipation, we attempt to show that it is possible to expose the existence of several uniformities in regard to the “problematizations” that both authors developed. Consequently, we remark that the subjects of family, sex and heredity are very important in Zola’s novels. After an anaysis of Fécondité, Le Docteur Pascal and Le Rêve, we suggest that Zola’s diagnosis and solutions constitute in some way the other side of the freudian thesis.
