Este estudio se aboca aplicar el ILOP (Inventario de Evaluación de Logro de Objetivos en Psicoterapia) (Szprachman, 20032005) a una población no clínica para obtener el grupo control del inventario ILOP. Tal tarea resulta necesaria a los efectos de contribuir a la normalización del instrumento. El grupo control es necesario como punto de referencia neutral para poder comparar el efecto de la aplicación del ILOP. Se busca entonces la curva de la población no clínica (PNC) con la aplicación del ILOP. Los resultados de la investigación nos dicen que la PNC obtiene una valoración perteneciente a la etapa de seguimiento del ILOP, pero con un significativo menor malestar de la PNC respecto de la PC. La PC presenta un perfil compatible al perfil típico de la población de seguimiento del ILOP. La PNC en cambio tendría un perfil mucho más cercano a una curva típica de mantenimiento sin llegar a serlo. Aún así su funcionamiento sería compatible con la población funcional en el sentido que no busca ayuda.
