Frente a la complejidad de los problemas / objetos de intervención que afrontan las instituciones educativas, se hace imprescindible a los especialistas interesados en el asesoramiento y la resolución de conflictos, dirigir nuevas investigaciones que permitan su comprensión y mejorar los dispositivos de abordaje frente a los mismos, en especial para quienes investigan desde la universidad pública. Es interés referirse al incremento del fracaso escolar que repercute en los aprendizajes escolares poniendo en riesgo la promoción, tanto de los estudiantes de primer año como de aquellos que desean sostener la trayectoria y egresar. Pensar en causas solamente en términos cuantitativos no permitiría avanzar en la comprensión del problema. Este tipo de estudios, existen a nivel gubernamental pero requieren ser completados con otros que incorporen los discursos de los actores del escenario actual. Esta preocupación llega a un gran tema, interés de este trabajo, “Adolescencia y escuela media, una relación conflictiva”. En los primeros avances encontramos interrogantes que amplían la dimensión del objeto de estudio y que a la vez permiten la construcción de nuevas categorías de análisis. Presentaremos aproximaciones y obstáculos en la delimitación del problema, la elección de la metodología y el diseño del proyecto de trabajo.
