De las diferentes concepciones que Lacan fue planteando a lo largo de su enseñanza respecto del fin de análisis, nos vamos a referir a la que lo formula en términos de travesía del fantasma y localizaremos los fundamentos, en la lectura de Freud, del nexo que estableciera entre síntoma y fantasma. El analista mantiene una posición de incauto ante la estructura discursiva del sujeto e interviene a partir de estrategias reflexionadas desde la teoría, pero con tácticas aplicadas sin demoras en el campo de acción- Lacan utiliza término militares- por haber ajustado su escucha a ese discurso en su singularidad. Las formulaciones conceptuales si bien estrictamente necesarias, no uniforman las experiencias del uno por uno, y no obstaculizan su escucha.
