El objetivo de este trabajo fue el de identificar una posible asociación entre la autopercepción de perfeccionismo en estudiantes de Psicología de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (N=100) con los resultados que los mismos sujetos obtuvieron al administrárseles la escala APS-R. Los resultados indican que la mayoría de los sujetos que no creen ser perfeccionistas (84,3%), no reciben esta categoría al administrársele el APS-R. Por otro lado, casi la mitad de los sujetos que sí creen ser perfeccionistas (45,7%), tampoco entran dentro de esta misma categoría. En otro orden, la mayoría de los sujetos que creen ser perfeccionistas consideran que poseer este rasgo los ayuda (93,5%) y dentro de quienes consideran que el perfeccionismo no los ayuda la mayoría son perfeccionistas desadaptativos. Las asociaciones no son estadísticamente significativas. Ningún sujeto que recibió un perfil adaptativo consideró que no lo ayuda su perfeccionismo. Dentro de los sujetos que se autoperciben como perfeccionistas y consideran que este rasgo los ayuda, observamos que poco menos de la mitad no son perfeccionistas (46,5%) para el APS-R, y que en proporciones similares perfeccionistas adaptativos o desadaptativos consideran que este rasgo los ayuda .Discutimos los resultados de este trabajo y agenciamos las limitaciones del mismo. We find that amongst the individuals that consider themselves as perfectionists and think that this characteristic does not help them, almost half of them are not perfectionists (46,5%) according to APS-R, and that in similar proportions both adaptive and maladaptive perfectionists consider that this characteristic helps them.
