Se presenta una investigación sobre espiritualidad y ansiedad a futuro en una muestra de adolescentes. La espiritualidad es una búsqueda personal para entender el sentido de la vida, su significado y relación con lo sagrado o trascendente. La ansiedad a futuro implica un estado de temor, incertidumbre y preocupación por los posibles cambios desfavorables en un futuro. Se aplicó la Escala de Perspectiva Espiritual (Reed, 1986; 1992, traducida al español) y la Escala de ansiedad a futuro (AF) (Zaleski, 1996, traducida al español) a 85 mujeres (77,2%) y 25 varones (22,8%), con una edad promedio de 15,96 años (DE = 0,96; rango = 1418), que concurrían a una escuela confesional de San Juan, Argentina. Se observó en ambos géneros un nivel de espiritualidadreligiosidad entre moderado y alto, con mayor nivel en las mujeres (z=-2,163, p=0,010). Las mujeres adolescentes mostraron mayores puntajes de bienestar espiritual (z=-2,428, p=0,015) y de religiosidad (z=-2,164, p=0,030) respecto de los varones. Se obtuvieron valores promedios de AF levemente superiores en mujeres respecto de los varones, diferencias no estadísticamente significativas. De los resultados se infiere que las mujeres adolescentes poseen mayor bienestar espiritual y religiosidad, mostrándose más cercanas a la práctica de la espiritualidad que los varones. Palabras clave Espiritualidad Ansiedad a futuro ABSTRACT SPIRITUALITY AND ANXIETY TO FUTURE IN A SAMPLE OF ADOLESCENTS An investigation is presented about the spirituality and the anxiety to future in a sample of schooled adolescent. The spirituality is a personal search to understand questions like on the sense of the life, its meaning and relationship with the sacred or transcendent. The anxiety to future implies a state of fear, uncertainty and concern about possible unfavourable changes in a personal future. The Spiritual Perspective Scale (Reed, 1986; 1992, translated to Spanish) and the Future Anxiety Scale (Zaleski, 1996, translated to Spanish) were applied to 85 women (77,2%) and 25 males (22,8%), with an age average of 15,96 years (SD = 0,96; range = 14-18) that study in a confessional school of San Juan, Argentina. In both genders, a moderate to high spirituality-religiosity was observed, with a bigger level in the women (z=-2,163, p=0,010). The adolescent women showed higher levels of spiritual well-being (z=-2,428, p=0,015) and of religiosity (z=-2,164, p=0,030) compared with the males. Average values of AF were slightly higher in women that men, without significant statistic. Of the results we infer that the adolescent women possess bigger spiritual well-being and religiosity, being shown nearer to the practice of the spirituality regarding the males.
