El trabajo que presentamos, responde al cumplimiento parcial del segundo objetivo del Proyecto UBACyT P012, “Desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en estudiantes ingresantes a la UBA Estudio de la trayectoria educativa: promoción y desgranamiento”, que explora diferencias en las modalidades de pensamiento crítico en alumnos ingresantes universitarios (CBC, UBA) cohorte 2008. La muestra se conformó a partir de entrevistas telefónicas a alumnos que habían acreditado la materia Psicología mediante examen final o por promoción por notas. A dichos alumnos se les aplicó la prueba de lectura crítica de texto explicativo científico con modalidad on-line para identificar las inferencias elicitadas. Las mismas fueron categorizadas con el método top-down y bottom up basándose la confiabilidad en el acuerdo entre investigadores. De la interpretación de la información recogida pude inferirse que los alumnos que acreditaron la materia producen tipos de inferencias similares a los alumnos remanentes (Elaborativa / repetición, Interpretación errónea). Pero también debemos destacar que, hemos encontrado en el grupo de alumnos que acreditaron la materia aunque en un porcentaje menor, inferencias que darían cuenta de un esfuerzo y trabajo cognitivo mayor (reflexión, generalización). Study of the educative trajectory: promotion and failure to promote”, that explores the differences in the critic thought of the new CBC and UBA students cohort 2008. The individuals used as sample for this project were interviewed by phone and are students who approved the Subject Psychology of the CBC via final exam or by direct promotion with good grades. On-line test of critical reading of a scientific text was applied to identify the comprehension of the text; this was categorized with the top-down and bottom-up method basing ourselves in the trust of the agreement between investigators. We can observe from the collected information that the students who approved and the ones who didn’t produced in the highest levels the same kind of comprehension; this talks of a similar cognitive work (Development / repetition, mistaken interpretation). But we would also like to highlight the fact that we have encountered in the group of students who approved the subject (although in a low percentage), a level of comprehension that shows a bigger effort and cognitive work (thinking, generalization).
