El problema del racismo o etnocentrismo si bien existió desde siempre ha cobrado en los últimos tiempos una nueva virulencia. El rechazo al diferente (ya sea por raza, cultura o pequeñas diferencias) puede ejercerse de forma violenta o de manera sutil . Ambas formas producen efectos negativos en la trama de los lazos sociales. En este trabajo intentaremos investigar cómo los prejuicios hacia otros pueden ser activados profundizando así, los sentimientos racistas y/o etnocentristas en un grupo o en una sociedad . El abordaje será multidisciplinario y tendrá dos etapas. En la primera, siguiendo las elaboraciones freudianas, estudiaremos porque medios los fenómenos de masa tienen la facultad de ejercer tan decisiva influencia sobre la vida anímica individual. Luego consideraremos un autor Teun A . van Dijk quien ha realizado interesantes aportes al tema desde una análisis no psicoanalítico de las prácticas discursivas de las élites . Los puentes entre ambas perspectivas serán reservados para un futuro trabajo Resumen en Inglés Racism or ethnocentrism issues have always existed but in recent times they have become more virulent. The rejection for the different (because of race, culture or little differences), can be practiced in a violent but also in a subtle way. Both behaviors have negative effects in the social relationship scheme. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the prejudice against others can be activated, making even deeper the discrimination against a group within a certain society. The study will be multidisciplinary and will have two steps: In the first one, following freudianan theory, we will study in what ways collective actions and thoughts have the capacity of decisively influence on individual psychic life. As a second step, we will take into consideration the contributions of Teun A. van Dijk, who has looked into discursive practices from the elites following a non-psychoanalytic approach.
