Las teorizaciones acerca de los límites de la práctica analítica ocupan un lugar central en el corpus teórico freudiano. A partir de la conceptualización del más allá del principio del placer, la pulsión de muerte y el masoquismo erógeno primario, Freud redefinirá, a su vez, el lugar de la angustia y el valor de lo traumático. La articulación entre la angustia y el complejo de castración situará a la angustia como el núcleo de las neurosis y permitirá establecer un anudamiento entre lo traumático, en términos de lo no ligado, y la angustia automática frente a lo que vale como desamparo para el sujeto. Estas conceptualizaciones conducirán a situar un punto de imperfección estructural del aparato psíquico que reactualiza la pregunta en torno a los límites del análisis. La interrogación recae ahora sobre la dimensión estructural de los obstáculos que se despliegan en el interior mismo de la práctica analítica. Los desarrollos de Lacan relativos a las operaciones de alienación y separación aportarán elementos para esclarecer el anudamiento establecido por Freud. From the conceptualization of beyond the principle of pleasure, the drive of death and the erogenous primary masochism, Freud will re-define, in turn, the place of the distress and the value of the traumatic thing. The joint between the distress and the complex of castration will place to the distress as the nucleus of the neurosises and will allow to establish a link between the traumatic thing, in terms of not tied, and the automatic distress opposite to what it suits as abandonment for the subject. These conceptualizations will drive to place a point of structural blemish of the psychic device that re-updates the question around the limits of the analysis. The interrogation relapses now on the structural dimension of the obstacles that place in the interior itself of the analytical practice.
