El trabajo presenta una revisión de los efectos de los tratamientos hormonales sobre el desarrollo biopsicosocial, en niñas y adolescentes con diagnóstico de Síndrome de Turner. Se presenta como foco de análisis la edad en que debe suplantarse la hormona de crecimiento, hormona que contribuye a mejorar la talla en la temprana infancia, por los estrógenos que durante la adolescencia inducen el desarrollo puberal pero detienen el crecimiento en altura. En la discusión se resalta la importancia de no supeditar la decisión de sustituir un tratamiento por otro solamente al juicio del endocrinólogo, sino que ésta debería ser una decisión contextualizada desde diversas miradas biológicas, psicológicas y sociales. Palabras clave Síndrome de Turner Interdisciplina ABSTRACT TURNER’S SYNDROME: IMPORTANCE OF THE HORMONAL TREATMENTS IN THE BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL DEVELOPMENT The work presents a review of the effects of the hormonal treatments on the biopsychosocial development in girls and teenagers with diagnosis of Turner’s syndrome. It presents as area of analysis the age in which there must be supplanted the hormone of growth, hormone that helps to improve the height in the early infancy, for the estrogens that during the adolescence induce the puberal development’s but detain the growth in height. In the discussion there is highlighted the importance of not subordinating the decision to replace a treatment with other one only the judgment of the endocrinologist, but this one should be a decision making from diverse biological, psychological and social looks.
