En numerosas investigaciones realizadas sobre el campo universitario, la deserción aparece como un problema preocupante por las “altas tasas de abandono” de los estudiantes en el primer año universitario. Sin embargo, otros estudios se ocupan de visibilizar problemas más ligados al ingreso a la cultura universitaria, desde perspectivas interaccionistas y socio históricas. Nuestro trabajo, en el marco del proyecto “Ingreso a Psicología. Elección, continuidad y abandono de una carrera universitaria ” intenta vislumbrar el profundo impacto que provoca en los sujetos este espacio desconocido, la relevancia que tiene el primer año en la decisión de irse o permanecer, la incidencia de dimensiones subjetivas (capital cultural, competencias lingüísticas, historia escolar, mandatos familiares), institucionales (organizaciones pedagógicas, cursado masivo, programas de tutorías y/o acompañamiento en el acceso a esta nueva cultura). Postulamos que los estudiantes se apropian del espacio y las lógicas universitarias desplegando diversas estrategias. Apelamos al concepto de apropiación (Ezpeleta y Rockwell 1983, Rockwell, 1996, 2005, Chartier, 1993, 1999) para comprender algunas prácticas universitarias de los nuevos estudiantes. Damos cuenta de las dimensiones relacional y transformativa, del proceso de apropiación, a partir de discursos estudiantiles que manifiestan las estrategias para apropiarse del espacio y las lógicas universitarias. Palabras clave Ingreso Universidad Apropiación ABSTRACT “IT’S LIKE THIS REMAINS TOO BIG FOR US” APPROPRIATIONS OF THE SPACE AND UNIVERSITY LOGICS IN THE ENTRANCE TO FACULTY In several investigations realized above university, desertion appears as a worrying problem related to the “high rates of abandonment“ of students during the first year in university. However, other studies occupied to made visible problems more related to the entrance in the university culture, from interactionist and socio historical perspectives. Our work, within the project “Entrance to Psychology. Election, continuity and abandonment of an university career” intents to show the deep impact of this unknown space in the subjects, the relevance of the first year in the decision of abandoning or continuing, the incidence of subjective dimensions (cultural capital, linguistic competences, scholar history, familiar mandates), institutional (pedagogical organizations, massive courses, programs of tutelage and/or attendance in the accession to this new culture). We postulate that students appropriate of the space and the university logics displaying diverse strategies. We appeal to the concept of appropriation (Ezpeleta & Rockwell, 1983; Rockwell, 1996; Chartier, 1993, 1999) to comprehend some university practices of the new students. We give an account of the relation and transformative dimensions of the appropriation process, considering students discourses that manifest the strategies to appropriate of the space and de university logics.
