El Traité philosophique et physiologique de l’hérédité naturelle (1847-1850) de Prosper Lucas es uno de los grandes textos de la medicina francesa del siglo XIX. Es sobre todo un elemento clave para comprender las teorías hereditarias de ese período. En el segundo volumen de su obra, Lucas proponer distinguir entre enfermedades hereditarias y enfermedades de familia. El presente texto analiza esa distinción, con el objetivo de demostrar que ella devela el cariz problemático de uno de los conceptos centrales del pensamiento de Lucas. De hecho, en esta presentación indicaremos cuán ambigua es su noción de innatismo (inneité). It is also an important element in order to understand the hereditary theories of that period. In the second volume of his book, Lucas tried to distinguish the difference between the hereditary illnesses and the family illnesses. This article describes that distinction, with the aim of demostrating that it reflects the equivocity of one of the central concepts of Lucas’ theory.
