En este trabajo se presenta la investigación UBACyT 2014-2017 “LA URGENCIA EN SALUD MENTAL EN EL HOSPITAL PÚBLICO EN LA CIUDAD DE BUENOS AIRES”, un estudio de tipo descriptivo-interpretativo que tiene como objetivo principal caracterizar la población que consulta en urgencia, así como el modo de intervención y resolución frente a la misma en hospitales de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Esta caracterización responde al propósito de contribuir al diseño de nuevos dispositivos de tratamiento de la urgencia en salud mental, que den respuesta al actual incremento de este tipo de consulta. Con este propósito, se tomará una muestra de tipo exhaustiva, que comprenderá pacientes de ambos sexos, que consulten dentro de un período de tres meses en el servicio de urgencia de Salud Mental. Para la recolección de datos se empleará como instrumento un protocolo, que se completará al finalizar el proceso de admisión y resolución de la urgencia. Se realizarán reuniones cuatrimestrales con los integrantes de los distintos hospitales participantes. Los datos obtenidos serán resguardados (atento a lo especificado en la Ley 25.326 “Protección de datos personales”) y se procesarán y sistematizarán con el programa estadístico SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Palabras clave Urgencia, Salud Mental, Hospital Público, Dispositivos ABSTRACT MENTAL HEALTH URGENCY IN THE PUBLIC HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES In this work is exposed the research UBACyT 2014-2017 “MENTAL HEALTH URGENCY INTHE PUBLIC HOSPITAL INTHE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES” a descriptive-interpretative study whose main objective is to characterize the population in emergency consultation as well as the mode of intervention and resolution against it in hospitals in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. This characterization serves the purpose of contributing to the design of new devices for emergency treatment of mental health, which respond to the current increase in this type of consultation. For this purpose, a depth type sample which includes patients of both sexes, to consult within a period of three months in the emergency department of Mental Health will be taken. For data collection instrument it will be used a protocol, to be completed by the end of the admission process and resolution of urgency. Quarterly meetings with members of the various participating hospitals will be made. The data obtained will be safeguarded (attentive as specified in Law 25.326 “Personal Data Protection”) and processed and systematized with the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) statistical program.
