Por la vía de lo fantástico, el relato literario nos sitúa, en su mismo comienzo, ante el encuentro del personaje con el acontecimiento de su metamorfosis. Un despertar siniestro, donde lo familiar y lo extraño se conjugan en la metáfora de una transformación de su propio cuerpo, el que ha perdido su forma humana. Se tomará esta ficción kafkiana, en el sentido de un despertar del “soñante” Gregorio a la dimensión real del sujeto. A sinister awakening, where the familiar thing and the strange thing are combined in the metaphor of a transformation of his own body, which has lost its human form.
