Ante las vertiginosas modificaciones de nuestro contexto histórico y cultural, el concepto de autoridad también se ha visto cuestionado. Partiendo de la relación entre autoridad y lazo social, se plantea la pregunta por la vinculación entre autoridad y responsabilidad, y los efectos de ubicar la responsabilidad del lado del sujeto o del lado del sistema social. Desde el psicoanálisis la autoridad cumple la función de dar lugar al trabajo subjetivo de renuncia a la satisfacción inmediata, ofreciendo la posibilidad de realizaciones futuras. Se trata de un trabajo que el niño o el adolescente no pueden hacer sin el auxilio del adulto. La autoridad cumple justamente la función de provocar ese trabajo o de acompañarlo cuando ya está en marcha. Based on the relationship between authority and social bond, the question about the relationship between authority and responsibility, and the effects of placing responsibility on the side of the subject or the side of the social system arises.
