La relación amorosa entre Carl Jung y Sabina Spielrein resulta un punto de inflexión en la historia del psicoanálisis por dos motivos: en primer lugar, profundiza las diferencias entre Jung y Freud, perjudicando las ideas de éste último respecto a la expansión del psicoanálisis en Suiza y el resto de Europa. En segundo lugar, determina la necesidad de introducir conceptos técnicos que sirvan de límite para el método psicoanalítico y que permitan protegerse ante posibles desacreditaciones. La neutralidad, la abstinencia y el propio análisis son introducidos en esta época como conductas esperables de un psicoanalista responsable. Este movimiento ha resultado decisivo para la continuidad del método psicoanalítico desde su fundación hasta la actualidad. Resulta de importancia que los espacios de formación no sólo den cuenta de las cuestiones éticas, sino también la apertura de canales de información y contención para evitar así errores tan groseros como el de Carl Jung. Firstly, it digs deeply in the differences between Jung and Freud, damaging Freud’s intentions of expanding psychoanalysis to Switzerland and the rest of Europe. Also, it determines the necessisity of introducing technical concepts so as to function not only as a limit in psychoanalysys but also as a protection to potential discredits. Neutrality, Abstinence and self analysis itself are introduced, during that time, as an expected and responsible psychoanalyst behaviour. This movement has been decisive for the continuity of psychoanalytical method from its foundation to current times. It’s important that the training is not only given by ethical issues, but also by the opening of information and containment channels in order to avoid such crude mistakes like Carl Jung’s.
