Debateremos aqui o atendimento para crianças e adolescentes vítimas de violência intrafamiliar - maus tratos, violência física, psicológica, negligência e/ou abandono - na perspectiva da reintegração via família extensa, pois entendemos como alternativa possível ao Acolhimento Familiar e/ou Institucional na realidade brasileira. Temos o Plano Nacional de Promoção, Proteção e Defesa do Direito de Crianças e Adolescentes a Convivência Familiar e Comunitária (BRASIL, SDH - 2006) como referência metodológica para este fazer. Para atingir nosso objetivo, edificamos o Programa de Atendimento Familiar - PAF, ligado ao organograma de serviços socioassistenciais e contido na Tipificação Nacional dos Serviços Socioassistenciais (BRASIL, MDS - 2009). Este serviço conta com uma estrutura física e equipe técnica exclusiva (coordenador, psicólogo, assistente social, orientador social e motorista). O trabalho diário consiste no atendimento às famílias de origem à criança e/ ou adolescente e à família extensa, sempre na perspectiva da restauração dos vínculos da afetividade, promovendo assim a garantia dos direitos assegurados em Lei. Como resultado, temos diminuído a institucionalização de crianças e/ou adolescentes, instaurando a cultura do cuidado familiar e oferecendo uma nova perspectiva de garantia de direitos para a infância e adolescência em nosso pais.
