O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar os efeitos da literatura na clínica psicopedagógica. Participou do estudo uma menina de oito anos com dificuldade de aprendizagem da leitura e escrita. A leitura oferecida em Oficina de Leitura de Literatura constituía o campo clínico no qual o “holding” e a “sustentação” dada pela psicopedagoga foram tomados em consideração. Neste sentido, a Oficina consideradas como “Espaço Potencial”, conforme ensina Winnicott, tiveram a potencialidade de ser uma área em que a criança cria o mundo próprio ao mesmo tempo em que se adapta ao mundo objetivamente dado. O texto literário por sua potência de construção e de abertura de sentido oferece ao leitor possibilidades para romper o aprisionamento de sentido único; e seu valor é amplamente reconhecido por Benjamin quando propõe que toda doença pode ser curada se puder ser narrada, ou por Petit que sugere ser a leitura capaz de suprir o leitor de recursos para enfrentar as situações traumáticas da vida. Neste estudo os resultados sugerem que a leitura de literatura possibilitou à menina reflexões sobre suas próprias condições de vida, a construção de seus conhecimentos cognitivos, interesse pelo significado das palavras e o desejo de aprender a ler e a escrever. Palabras clave Leitura, Literatura, Espaço potencial ABSTRACT STORY READING IN PSYCHOPEDAGOGIC CLINIC The goal of this work is to study the effects of literature in the psychopedagogical clinic. An eight years old girl with learning disabilities in reading and writing took part in the study. The reading offered in Literature and Reading Workshop constitutes the clinical field in which the “holding” and the “handling” given by the psychopedagogue were taken into consideration. In this sense, the workshop considered as “Potential Space”, as Winnicott teaches, had the potential to be an area in which the child creates his own world at the same time he adapts to the objectively given world.The literary text, due to its construction power and meaning openness, provides to the reader possibilities to break the imprisonment of a single meaning; and its value is widely recognized by Benjamin when he proposes that all diseases can be cured if they can be narrated, or by Petit, who suggests that reading has the ability to give resources so the reader can face the traumatic situations of life. In this study the results suggest that reading literature provided the girl reflections about her living conditions, cognitive knowledge construction, interest in the meaning of words and desire to learn reading and writing.
