El objetivo de este trabajo es plantear el problema de la relación entre el arte y la psicología. Para ello se utilizaron herramientas propias de una de las ramas de la filosofía, la estética. Como primer parte del trabajo, se expondrá la postura psicoanalítica de Freud ante la problemática del arte y su uso del concepto de catarsis. Luego se desarrollará como herramienta de análisis, la estética de Lukács, con el objetivo de poder vincularlo con lo abordado en los textos de Freud en torno a la creación artística. Por último, se trabajará esta problemática incluyendo la práctica artística y teórica de Brecht. Posteriormente se comparará su producción con la postura freudiana acerca del arte. FREUD´S AND BRECHT´S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ARTISTIC PRAXIS The aim of this work to deal with the problem of the relationship between Psychology and Art.We will analyze this relationship using tools provided by a special branch of philosophy, Aesthetics. First, we will show Freud’s psychoanalytic assumptions referred to the problematic of art and his use of the concept of catharsis. Then, we will use Georg Lukács’s Aesthetics as an analytical tool so we can establish a connection with his position and Freud’s analysis of the artistic creation.
