El presente trabajo se enmarca en una investigación UBACyT bajo el título “Transformaciones de lo femenino: metáforas, discursos y casos de la Psicología, Psiquiatría y Psicoanálisis entre fines del siglo XIX y mediados del XX”; siendo en esta oportunidad el objeto de interés, indagar la incidencia de la estructura histérica en el descubrimiento del psicoanálisis. La histeria siempre ha puesto en evidencia el alcance del saber médico, siempre ha señalado la insuficiencia de los discursos que intentaron definirla. Su peculiar lazo al Otro ha llevado a Lacan a otorgarles un discurso, en donde el síntoma es el agente del mismo. Nos interrogamos qué de esa insatisfacción motivó a Freud a crear un método para alojar dicha queja. “Talking cure” sería apodado por la primera histérica del psicoanálisis. Hysteria has always exposed the scope of medical knowledge, it has always pointed out the insufficiency of the discourses that tried to define it. Their peculiar bond to the Other has led Lacan to give them a discourse, in which the symptom is the agent of it. We wonder what of this dissatisfaction motivated Freud to create a method to accommodate this complaint “Talking cure” would be nicknamed by the first hysteric of psychoanalysis.
