Contrario a lo que podría pensarse los textos en donde Freud se ocupa sobre problemas colectivos, en donde dialoga desde el psicoanálisis con otros campos del saber, así como también los trabajaos en donde se interesa sobre la religión y otros productos del patrimonio cultural son variados y distintos entre sí: tanto en extensión como en profundidad de los análisis, tanto en los años de su publicación: desde grandes obras que han adquirido el rotulo de clásicos “Moisés y la religión monoteísta” (1939) pasando por trabajos más breves “La moral sexual “cultural” y la nerviosidad moderna (1908) hasta pequeñas menciones como por ejemplo “Manuscrito N (1897)”.
