Este trabajo buscó conocer los aspectos facilitadores y obstaculizadores al trabajo desarrollado por las organizaciones de personas afectadas por enfermedades poco frecuentes. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo, con entrevistas semiestructuradas a líderes de organizaciones. Como resultado se pudo establecer que los principales facilitadores al trabajo de las organizaciones está dado por el trabajo de los propios líderes, las conexiones con otros, los recursos económicos y las redes sociales. Por otro lado, entre los osbtaculos señalados se destacan la falta de recursos, la complejidad clínicas de las EPOF, y la escasez de las personas afectadas. Se evidencia la necesidad de estudiar a mayor profundidad el rol de estas organizaciones en la elaboración de políticas públicas a nivel macro, en función del rol protagónico que las mismas han adquirido en el último tiempo. A QUALITATIVE STUDY IN 2020 This work sought to know the facilitating and hindering aspects of the work carried out by organizations of people affected by rare diseases. A qualitative study was carried out, with semistructured interviews with leaders of organizations. As a result, it was possible to establish that the main facilitators to the work of the organizations is given by the work of the leaders themselves, the connections with others, the economic resources and the social networks. On the other hand, among the obstacles mentioned, the lack of resources, the clinical complexity of EPOF, and the shortage of affected people stand out. There is evidence of the need to study in greater depth the role of these organizations in the elaboration of public policies at the macro level, based on the leading role that they have acquired in recent times.
