Frente a la pandemia por COVID-19 que afecta al mundo entero, muchas disciplinas han sido llamadas a repensarse y han convocado a la sociedad entera a responder en consecuencia. El psicoanálisis no ha resultado ajeno a esto y la pregunta por el encuadre, especialmente la abstinencia, tampoco. Ante la pregunta sobre si puede mantenerse una posición abstinente en la experiencia analitica frente a una catástrofe se concluye que la misma solo es posible contemplando los matices de su pertinencia y fortaleciendo espacios que contengan a la figura del analista. Se propone, entonces; El análisis personal, la co-visión y el armado de equipos como el Equipo de protección personal del estar-psicoanalistas ante un contexto de crisis como el presente debido al COVID-19. A modo de reflejar lo anterior, se reporta una experiencia del dispositivo “Cuidar a los que cuidan” que muestra la importancia de armar redes. El trabajo en equipo le ofrece al analista la apertura de un entre-tiempo para comprender, que redireccionando la angustia hacia un espacio de contención, logra evitar el desborde.
