El objetivo del trabajo es realizar un análisis sobre adicciones y consumo problemático de sustancias desde una perspectiva de la salud mental y los Derechos Humanos. Para ello, se realizará un recorrido sobre la legislación vigente y se diferenciarán los paradigmas del consumo, para reflexionar sobre el tipo de asistencia que reciben las personas sin vulnerar los derechos en el proceso y a través de qué tipo de estrategias e intervenciones. El consumo problemático de sustancias, tanto legales como ilegales, afecta negativamente, en forma crónica, la salud física o psíquica del sujeto así como también las relaciones sociales. La incorporación de un modelo de reducción de riesgos y daños, propone una mirada transdisciplinaria e interjurisdiccional, vinculándose los efectores sanitarios con las instancias de prevención, desarrollo e integración educativa y laboral.
