El ser humano está constiuido de palabras. El lenguaje preexiste la entrada del cachorro humano en el mundo. Un niño es hablado, nombrado aún antes de nacer. Habitamos un mundo de lenguaje y, si las operaciones de constitución subjetiva logran llevarse a cabo, entraremos en un discurso compartido. Al decir de Gustavo Martín Garzo (2012) “Habitamos una casa de palabras”. En palabras de Mich?le Petit (2000) la necesidad de relato, la exigencia poética y la necesidad de simbolizar nuestra experiencia constituyen la especificidad humana. ¿Por qué es importante, incluso vital, contar cuentos y narrar historias a los niños? Los cuentos no son sólo importantes por las enseñanzas (aunque no de modo normativo) o porque encienden la imaginación y la creatividad, llevándonos a otros mundos y lugares; sino porque rescata a quien los escucha de la indefensión estructural: el desvalimiento humano. De allí la vigencia de las historias de los cuentos que proceden de la noche de los tiempos. El objetivo de este trabajo es aproximar algunas reflexiones en torno a la importancia de contar con cuentos en la infancia lo que nos acerca a la tesis de que dichas narrativas permiten ficciones indispensables para favorecer operaciones de la constitución subjetiva. Language preexists the entry of the human cub into the world. A child is spoken, named even before birth. We inhabit a world of language and, if the operations of subjective constitution can be carried out, we will enter into a shared discourse. In the words of Gustavo Martín Garzo (2012) “We live in a house of words”. In the words of Mich?le Petit (2000) the need for a story, the poetic requirement and the need to symbolize our experience constitute our human specificity. Why is it important, even vital, to tell stories and narrate stories to children? Stories are not only important because of the teachings (although not in a normative way) or because they ignite the imagination and creativity, taking us to other worlds and places; but because it rescues those who listen to them from structural defenselessness: human helplessness. Hence the validity of the stories of the tales that comes from the night of time. The objective of this work is to approximate some reflections on the importance of having tales in childhood, which brings us closer to the thesis that these narratives allow indispensable fictions to favor operations of the subjective constitution.
