La causa que origina el interés por la temática de este escrito surge del trabajo con adolescentes en conflicto con la ley, en tanto se trata de una población con alta prevalencia masculina. Freud (1916) hace referencia a los que delinquen por conciencia de culpa, mencionando que las transgresiones se producían en un segundo término respecto de un sentimiento de culpa al cual la ejecución de la fechoría proporcionaba alivio anímico. Asimismo, Freud en dicho texto atribuirá el origen de ese sentimiento de culpa al Complejo de Edipo, en tanto reacción al parricidio e incesto. De este modo, es posible vislumbrar los antecedentes de lo que en la segunda tópica, Freud ubicará como el Superyó. En esta línea de trabajo es de interés indagar sobre las diferencias en la constitución del superyó femenino y masculino en Freud. Freud (1916) refers to those who commit crimes out of a guilty conscience, mentioning that the transgressions occurred in a second term with respect to a feeling of guilt to which the execution of the crime provided mental relief. Likewise, Freud in said text will attribute the origin of this feeling of guilt to the Oedipus Complex, as a reaction to parricide and incest. In this way, it is possible to glimpse the antecedents of what in the second topic, Freud will locate as the Superego.
