Resumen Este trabajo constituye un recorte de una investigación más amplia del Proyecto de Investigación consolidado N° 121218: “Representaciones sociales de estudio, trabajo, percepción de si mismo y anticipaciones de futuro en algunos ingresantes de la Facultad de Psicologia de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis”, Dirigido por la Dra. María Corina Tejedor, (Facultad de Psicología, Secretaría de Ciencia y Técnica de la Universidad Nacional de San Luis) El objetivo de este trabajo es detectar y analizar las representaciones sociales de estudio en una submuestra de seis estudiantes ingresantes a la Licenciatura en Psicología (U.N.S.L),de una muestra total de 20 estudiantes (10 mujeres y 10 varones), de entre 17 a 19 años de edad al momento de ser entrevistados/as. El material en estudio se extrajo de la aplicación de entrevistas en profundidad, en las que se indagó, además, el sentido que estos/as estudiantes otorgan a sus trayectorias sociales, familiares, escolares y laborales. Se hipotetiza que las investigaciones acerca de la transición psicosocial del ingreso a la vida universitaria, puede contribuir a generar herramientas institucionales que favorezcan la permanencia de los/as estudiantes en la institución universitaria. El marco teórico referencial está constituido por las conceptualizaciones del paradigma actual en Psicología de la Orientación. The objective of this work is to detect and analyse the social representations of study in a subsample of six students applying for admission to the Licentiate Program in Psychology (UNSL), from a total sample of 20 students (10 women and 10 men), between 17 and 19 years of age at the time of the interviews. The material under study was extracted from the responses to in-depth interviews, in which the meaning that these students attribute to their social, family, school and work trajectories was also investigated.It is hypothesized that investigating the psychosocial transition experienced during the process of admission can promote the design of institutional tools that favour the permanence of students at university.The reference theoretical framework is constituted by the conceptualizations of the current Orientation Psychology paradigm.
