Actualmente es notorio como la imagen del cuerpo toma un valor considerable, haciendo del mismo una pantalla donde se proyectan pensamientos, se comunican y se tramitan experiencias. Consecuencia de ello, el fenómeno del tatuaje ha cobrado un particular interés en el mundo en los últimos años. Es fácil percibir en este tiempo una especie de contagio, de moda en relación al tatuaje, que se define por la indiferenciación. Sin embargo, se podría presumir que los mismos poseen un valor adicional, singular, y significativo para el sujeto que los porta. Es por esta razón, que es interesante pensar al tatuaje desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica, resaltando el valor comunicacional y expresivo del mismo. La piel atravesada por el lenguaje, que hace carne y narra fragmentos importantes de la vida de los sujetos. El cuerpo como el lugar de inscripción de los significantes, la piel como zona erógena, que recibe el contacto de la aguja y la tinta, como borde que comunica el adentro y el afuera.
