El presente trabajo se propone abordar la relación entre el acto analítico y las defensas a partir de lo que nos enseña un caso. Una adolescente llega a la consulta con pesadillas que la dejan como objeto del goce del Otro. Las intervenciones del practicante trazan una dirección que va de las pesadillas a los sueños de angustia, los cuales arrojan significantes que propician el armado de una construcción fantasmática. Partiendo de considerar los desarrollos que Lacan introduce en su última enseñanza, puede afirmarse que “perturbar la defensa es la matriz misma para definir el corazón de la operación analítica” (Miller, 1998: 34). En este punto, el caso plantea un problema, en tanto lo real no se presenta de entrada enmarcado y velado por el fantasma y la envoltura del síntoma, sino bajo la forma de pesadillas, razón por la cual las intervenciones, en un comienzo, no apuntan a perturbar las defensas, sino que más bien acompañan la construcción de una respuesta fantasmática que, en tanto defensa fundamental, posibilite enmarcar el goce del Otro que aparece sin velo, desgarrando la trama. Estos planteos conducen a interrogar la función de las defensas en distintos momentos de la lógica de una cura y la responsabilidad del analista al operar sobre las mismas. Palabras clave Pesadillas - Acto analítico - Defensa - Fantasma ABSTRACT NIGHTMARES AND THE ANALYTIC ACT: THE FANTASY SERVING AS DEFENSE This work aims to approach the relation between the analytic act and the defenses from what we learn from a case. A teenager comes for consultation with nightmares in which she becomes the object of the Other’s enjoyment. The practitioner’s interventions draw up a line of direction from nightmares to dreams of anguish, which produce signifiers that favor the setting up of a phantasmatic construction. Staring from considering the developments introduced by Lacan in his last teaching, it may be stated that “disrupting the defense is the very matrix to define the core of the analytical operation” (Miller, 1998: 34). At this point, the case poses a problem, as the real does not present itself from the start framed and veiled by the fantasy and the envelope of the symptom, but in the form of nightmares, which is why at the beginning interventions do not aim to disrupt defenses, but rather accompany the construction of a phantasmatic response that, as a fundamental defense, may enable the framing of the unveiled Other’s enjoyment, tearing apart the plot. These issues result in interrogating the function of defenses at different moments of the logic of the cure and the analyst’s responsibility when operating upon them.
