El presente trabajo se enmarca en una investigación UBACyT bajo el título “Transformaciones de lo femenino: metáforas, discursos y casos de la Psicología, Psiquiatría y Psicoanálisis entre fines del siglo XIX y mediados del XX”; siendo en esta oportunidad el objeto de interés, indagar la importancia que tuvo para el psicoanálisis el encuentro de Freud con la histeria. Es que a partir de este encuentro, surge la invención del mismo y de un método de abordaje del inconsciente. Hablamos de invención y no de creación, porque Freud no crea el psicoanálisis de la nada, tal como Dios crea al mundo. Lo inventa con trozos que su época rechaza, con fragmentos tomados de sus maestros, de quienes también se alejará. Pero sobre todo, es el modo en que los cuerpos de sus histéricas hablan en un dialecto que hasta entonces nadie se había puesto a oír a la manera en que lo hizo Freud. Ese dialecto dará lugar a la construcción del concepto de inconsciente y el método de abordaje del mismo: un modo de hablar y un modo de oír, que se irán convirtiendo en lo que Freud denominará la Regla fundamental. We speak of invention and not of creation, because Freud does not create psychoanalysis out of nothing, just as God creates the world. He invents it with pieces that his time rejects, with fragments taken from his teachers, from whom he will also distance himself. But above all, it is the way in which the bodies of his hysterics speak in a dialect that until then no one had listened to in the way that Freud did. This dialect will give rise to the construction of the concept of the unconscious and its approach: a way of speaking and a way of hearing, which will gradually become what Freud will call the Fundamental Rule.
