En este trabajo se abordan los conceptos de función paterna y juego como dos ejes nodales del psicoanálisis con niños. Expresan la dualidad de una clínica dividida entre entrevistas con padres y sesiones de juego. La función paterna es entendida como operación significante que inscribe al sujeto en la ley y el deseo. A la vez que regula el deseo, deja como falla un núcleo de goce imposible de ser encadenado en la dialéctica del deseo del Otro. Allí estará la base del síntoma y de la transferencia. El juego, fundante de la infancia, es el espejo donde el niño se reconoce a través del Otro. Inscripto en la relación del niño y el Otro, separa un espacio subjetivante, colocando una barrera protectora ante la demanda de goce parental. La falla en el juego y la ruptura de su barrera está en la base de la formación del síntoma en la infancia, que podrá ponerse en transferencia si hace un agujero en el discurso parental. Función paterna y juego son fundantes de la subjetividad en la infancia y de allí se desprenden muchos de los avatares de la clínica con niños y sus variantes en la dirección de la cura. Palabras clave Función paterna - Juego - Transferencia - Goce ABSTRACT PARENTAL FUNCTION AND PLAY:TWO OPERATORS OF PSYCHOANALYSIS WITH CHILDREN In this work the concepts of paternal function and play are approached as two nodal axes of psychoanalysis with children. They express the duality of a clinic divided between interviews with parents and play sessions. The paternal function is understood as a significant operation that inscribes the subject in law and desire. At the same time that it regulates desire, it leaves behind a nucleus of jouissance impossible to be chained in the dialectic of the Other´s desire. There will be the basis of the symptom and the transfer. The game, founding of childhood, is the mirror where the child recognizes himself through the Other. Inscribed in the relationship of the child and the Other, it separates a subjective space, placing a protective barrier against the demand for parental enjoyment. The failure in the game and the breakdown of its barrier is at the base of the formation of the symptom in childhood, which can be transferred if it makes a hole in the parental speech. Parental function and play are foundations of subjectivity in childhood and many of the vicissitudes of the clinic with children and their variants in the direction of the cure follow from this.
