El objetivo de este trabajo es incorporar ítems de Afectividad Negativa (AN) del Personality Inventory for DSM-5 a un Banco de Neuroticismo (BIN) desarrollado en estudios previos. Considerando que AN se define como la variante desadaptativa del Neuroticismo, este estudio instrumental busca que el BIN incluya indicadores comportamentales extremos del rasgo. Participaron 619 personas de población general (64.3% mujeres), quienes respondieron un protocolo que incluyó los 23 ítems de AN y 8 ítems del BIN. Primero se procesaron los datos correspondientes a los ítems de AN y se efectuó una depuración progresiva a partir de criterios psicométricos de la Teoría de Respuesta al Ítem (Modelo de Respuesta Graduada). Luego se realizó una calibración estimando los parámetros de los 13 ítems de AN conservados (parámetros libres) y fijando los parámetros de los 8 ítems del BIN. Se utilizó el programa IRTPRO. El uso de ítems de anclaje garantizó que los 13 ítems de AN se hayan calibrado en la misma métrica que los reactivos del BIN. Se aportan evidencias de la continuidad postulada entre el Neuroticismo y AN aunque no se hallaron diferencias significativas en la localización de los ítems de ambas pruebas en la escala del rasgo. Palabras clave Neuroticismo - Personalidad - Afectividad negativa - Banco de ítems ABSTRACT INCORPORATION OF ITEMS OF NEGATIVE AFFECTIVITY TO A NEUROTICISM BANK The aim of this work is to incorporate Negative Affectivity (NA) items from the Personality Inventory for DSM-5 to a Neuroticism Bank (NIB) developed in previous studies. Considering that NA is defined as the maladaptive variant of Neuroticism, this instrumental study seeks that the BIN includes extreme behavioral indicators of the trait. 619 subjects from the general population (64.3% women) participated, responding to a protocol that included the 23 items of NA and 8 items of the NIB. First, the data corresponding to the NA items were processed and a progressive elimination was carried out based on psychometric criteria of the Item Response Theory (Graded Response Model). Then a calibration was performed estimating the parameters of the 13 items of NA preserved (free parameters) and fixed the parameters of the 8 items of the NIB. The IRTPRO program was used. The use of anchor items guaranteed that the 13 NA items have been calibrated to the same metric as the NIB items. Evidence of the postulated continuity between Neuroticism and NA is provided, although no significant differences were found in the location of the items of both tests on the trait scale.
